About us,
Brave International, Inc. is a Not-For- Profit Organization with a (501) ( c) (3) Tax Exempt Status under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code that provides Religious and Community Based Services in Haiti. The members of its volunteer Board of Directors are religious and civic leaders of a wide variety of Miami-Dade organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and small businesses. As a result, Brave International, Inc. is well positioned to provide the services that its mission described. The organization wants to serve in four specific areas: Focus on education, health care and sanitation, community development, and religious activities.
The inception of Brave International stems from a vision of a 6 year old child, Emmanuella Jean Jacques, to help the needy children in Haiti (La Source, Jean Rabel). During her first visit to the home of her parents, Emmanuella witnessed the misery of young children of her age, running after her and begging for food and clothing. She returned to her home in South Florida and immediately began to raise money and collect all types of items to send back to the children she saw in Haiti. She gave up most of her clothes and toys and tried to convince other children to do the same. Stimulated by her actions and unwavering commitment, her parents, Bernadette and Vasquez Jean Jacques, joined her in her efforts to make a difference in those children’s lives. The first year, Emmanuella and her parents raised enough money to sponsor education for thirty children in Haiti.
